Using Standard Search

Standard Search is a simple way to search the Questia library.

To begin a Standard Search

  1. Click the Search tab, and then click New Search.

  2. Enter your search in the search box by typing a word, words, or exact phrase.  Put an exact phrase in quotes.

  3. Uncheck the box next to a specific media type if you do not want to search that media type. (The default setting is to search all types.)

  4. Click the Search button or press Enter. The Search Results page appears.

Tips

The more specific the words you type in the search box are, the more specific your results will be. For example, a search on Vietnam War Veterans will find more specific information than a search on Vietnam War.

To search for an exact phrase, enclose the phrase in quotation marks (e.g., "industrial revolution").
