Before you begin
the registration process, the system automatically checks your
browser and operating system to see if they meet the requirements to take
full advantage of all of the features in the Questia service. If the system
detects that your configuration might not allow you to experience optimal
performance of the service, a dialog box will appear, prompting you to
upgrade to a recommended configuration. From this dialog box, you can
choose one of the following options:
Go to the System Requirements page
Proceed with limited functionality
Cancel the registration process
In addition, at any time after registration, you can check any system from which you access the Questia service. For example, you might have completed the registration process and used the Questia service from your computer in school, and then decided to go home to finish your research paper. You should check the system configuration of the computer you are using to ensure optimum performance. Without the appropriate system configuration, you might not be able to access every feature of the Questia service.
To check your system configuration, click the System Requirements link at the bottom of any page.
The System Requirements page displays a listing of the browser version and operating system with which you are accessing the service. It also lists the recommended browsers and links to sites where you can download a recommended browser version.
Important
If you choose to access the service without a recommended configuration, the service might not perform responsively, and the tools might not function properly. The recommended configurations were thoroughly tested to ensure optimum performance. Also, our Customer Support agents might not be able to assist you with any problems you might encounter if you use a configuration that has not been tested.
Note
If you are installing a browser upgrade, always choose Full installation.
