After you have created a citation or bibliography using the Questia service you can open the books and articles by clicking the references. You will be prompted to log in before the referenced publication is displayed.
Note
If you are currently logged in to the Questia service, it is best to use the entries in Workspace to link to the cited pages. If you click on a linked citation in your paper while you are already logged into the Questia service, the system will end your current session when you log in again using the same username.
To open a referenced publication
Open the citation or bibliography in an RTF (Rich Text Format)-supported word processor.
Click the linked citation or bibliography entry. A browser window opens and connects to Questia.
Click on Login.
Enter your username and password at the prompts, and then click Log In. If the login information is correct, the referenced publication will open.
To edit linked citations or bibliography entries
If you click on a citation or bibliography entry, it will open that publication -- it will not put the cursor in the entry so you can edit it. To edit, put the cursor before or after the citation or entry you want to edit and move it using the keyboard to the location you need to edit (e.g., use the right/left arrow keys).
Notes
You must be connected to the Internet and be a Questia subscriber to link to the referenced publication.
This feature works only for citations and bibliography entries that were made using the Questia service.
The hyperlink in the citation or bibliography will not appear underlined or in blue text in the word processor.
In citations, the link is to the specific page cited in the footnote, endnote, or parenthetical reference.
In bibliographies, the link is to the first page of the book or article.
