Questia Volume Subscription Program
Service Overview of Questia Volume Subscription Program
Questia is an online library designed to help undergraduate students studying the humanities and social sciences conduct research and write papers. Questia includes an extensive, full-text collection of scholarly books and journal articles, plus magazine and newspaper articles. The collection is combined with tools that allow users to highlight passages and create notes online. In addition, the service can automatically format footnotes and bibliography entries - more tools to help students write better papers.

Description of Questia Volume Subscription Program
The Volume Subscription Program was created at the request of many schools in order to provide colleges with library-quality, Internet-based resources for their students on a large scale, through the institution. This program allows you to provide leading edge technology to your students while ensuring equal access to scholarly information and complementing your existing library resources.

The program allows schools to purchase a large number of subscriptions for its student body; it is not an institutional site license. The billing process is simple - one master invoice is sent to the school. The school determines the number of desired subscriptions and identifies the participating students. Students are then assigned their own personal accounts, allowing them to take advantage of all the features and functionality found in the Questia library. Programs can be tailored to each institution's need, allowing for a combination of pricing flexibility and opportunities to partner with Questia. Through joint training and ongoing service development, students will become familiar with all the benefits offered by Questia.

Logistics of Questia Volume Subscription Program
Once a school and Questia have agreed upon a package, Questia will pre-assign the negotiated number of individual accounts for the school to distribute. Questia will help school administrators communicate account and access information via mail or email. Accounts are intended to be used by individual students and should not be shared. Students will access the service via a special URL assigned to the school. The welcome page that students first see can be customized by Questia with input from the school. Beyond the welcome page, students have full access to the Questia service. Either the school or Questia will provide support to students, depending on the negotiated terms of the contract. It is important to note that students must have access to the Internet and a computer meeting minimum system requirements to use the service. System requirements can be found by visiting www.questia.com.
