Credit Suisse First Boston has appointed Simon Meadows and Guglielmo Sartori di Borgoricco as co-heads of European fixed income distribution following the departure of John Zafiriou.Zafiriou, who ran European fixed income coverage and origination at CSFB, joined a fast-growing list of senior investment bankers to take time out of the industry when he took an indefinite leave of absence at the start of April. He is expected to rejoin the bank in the future in a different role.
Meadows was most recently head of securities sales within the European fixed income group at CSFB. Before that, he was a member of the debt capital markets team, and became head of international debt capital markets.
Before joining CSFB in 1992, Meadows spent eight years at Salomon Brothers, where he worked on the Eurobond secondary trading desk before becoming head of fixed income syndicate.
Sartori di Borgoricco was previously European head of derivatives sales at CSFB, with responsibility for interest rate, foreign exchange, credit, fund-linked and EMG derivative products. …
