FREDDIE KANOUTE is set to join Tottenham from West Ham in a deal which will take Matthew Etherington to Upton Park.
The pounds 4.5-million rated Kanoute - desperate for a move back to the Premiership - will meet Spurs tomorrow.
Etherington, who has been unsettled at White Hart Lane for some time, is valued at pounds 1m in the deal.
The transfer will allow Kanoute the chance to stay in the Premiership following West Ham's relegation from the top flight last season.
The talented but unpredictable star, who missed a large chunk of last season with a groin injury, will face tough competition for a place in the Spurs line-up.
The French striker, a long-time target of boss Glenn Hoddle, will become the third new addition to the Tottenham strike force following the signings of Helder Postiga and Bobby Zamora.
