Britain's first pigeon warden took to the streets yesterday.
Penny Tomlinson has been assigned to the voluntary position to help tackle the problems experienced across Walsall because of the birds.
She will patrol the town centre in a luminous uniform to offer advice to people feeding the pigeons and persuade them not to leave food out.
The role has the support of the Pigeon Control Advisory Service and will act as a link between local property owners and the organisation to give anyone plagued by the birds free guidance.
