Alcatel Bares New Interactive IP Communication System

Alcatel, a leading end-to-end communications solutions, has unveiled a new interactive IP (Internet Protocol) communication system targeted for large enterprises and the local contact centers.

The introduction of OmniPCX Enterprise is Alcatels aggressive entry into the IP telephony market, competing against its arch rivals Avaya and Cisco Systems.

Alex Filocca, marketing manager of Alcatel South East Asia, who recently visited Manila, said that the interactive IP communication system is a new technology trend that goes beyond IP telephony. This is more powerful than IP which blends voice, IP and web-based application, said Filocca. …
