ALAN Fisher and his wife Linda were seen as an ordinary suburban couple - until a children's nursery opened next door.
Then the middle-aged parents suddenly took to playing CDs by foulmouthed rapper Eminem so loudly that children could hear the expletives in the Kite Early Years playground, a court was told.
The Fishers 'waged war' on the nursery for seven months - unleashing a torrent of abusive language from their garden and raining down stones on the playground while toddlers were outside.
Mr Fisher, 48, a joinery firm manager, even wielded a golf club as he approached a staff member in her car, it was alleged.
Now they have been branded middleclass yobs by magistrates in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, who issued an Anti-Social Behaviour Order on the couple.
The Fishers, who have two grown up sons, face up to five years in jail if they breach the order.
Yesterday, there was an uneasy calm as Mrs Fisher - who has been suspended from her community care job with the local county council - said she would appeal against the order, and spoke of her love of Eminem and other rap music.
She said: 'I really love Eminem. I love the lyrics, I don't think there's anything wrong with it at all. I play his music all the time but I don't play it loud. My two sons are DJs and I often go clubbing. I love rap and gangsta music.
'They tried to say I was playing it to offend the kids but that's my music.
Some people like jogging or stamp collecting, but I'm into gangsta rap.'
The nursery, which has 30 children and ten staff, was opened in Costhorpe, Worksop, a year ago by Joanne Gray, of Granby Nurseries.
