-- The Rotary Club of San Jose during the 2003-04 Rotary year raised and donated $21,000 to local and international charities. Beneficiaries include the I.M. Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless, Clarke School for the hearing impaired, Pine Castle School and the UCOM Food Bank.
-- CSX Corp. donated $100,000 to the Police Athletic League for renovations and programs at Mallison Park.
-- The First Coast Roundtable of the Council of Logistics Management presented $1,500 to the University of North Florida College of Business. The university plans to use the money to support the studies of students enrolled as transportation and logistics majors.

-- Scott-McRae Advertising and Spectrum Films are recipients of The Videographer Awards' 2004 Award of Excellence in the video production/corporate image category. The award was won for work on The Power of Our Past, a historical review of the history of the Scott-McRae Group, which was founded in 1916.
-- PineRidge Film & Television received the Outstanding Directing in a Service Show Daytime Emmy for its Travel Channel series, Great Hotels. Jerry Smith, Joan McCord, Sylvia Caminer and Sid Goldberg directed a combined 90 half-hour episodes and 10 one-hour specials.
