William E. "Gene" Brown

Services for William E. "Gene" Brown, 74, of Huntley, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at the First Presbyterian Church, Maple and Douglas Avenues, Libertyville. The Rev. J.D. Miller will officiate. Born April 30, 1930, in St. Elmo, Ill., he passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery following the services. Mr. Brown was a 1948 graduate of Rantoul High School, where he was honored by being elected to the school's Sport's Hall of Fame. He also attended Butler University in Indianapolis before enlisting in the Marine Corps and serving in the Korean War. Gene was employed by the …
