TIM HENMAN may not play again this year after being ordered to rest his ailing back.

The world No 12, who has battled with motivational, form and injury problems during 2005, does not know when he will pick up a racket again.

As the U.S. Open entered its second week yesterday, Henman was at home hoping that a body which has always been one of the fittest on the men's tour will allow him to end his playing days on his own terms.
