Are you looking to "spread your wings" through international travel in the coming year?

District 214 Community Education Travel invites you to attend its Fall Showcase of the many fascinating trips to exciting destinations such as Antarctica, Tuscany, Iceland, Madagascar and Russia. There's even a Disney trip for adults on the agenda.

Community Education Travel is offering two information sessions on Thursday at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road in Arlington Heights. Plan to attend at either 4 or 7 p.m. to hear the presentation and mingle with travelers who can answer specific questions.

"You can depend on CET to ensure your safety, coordinate all aspects of your travel experience and make sure you get the best value for your travel dollar," said Community Education Director Mike Field. "That's a great combination for a wonderful trip and lifelong learning experience."

Visitors will have the opportunity to sign up for any of more than 25 trips planned for the travel year.

Rotary offers study program: Rotary of Northeastern Illinois is again seeking young businessmen and women willing to take a few weeks out of their busy schedules to widen their horizons both personally and professionally.

The latest offer involves a four-week vocational and cultural study program in Japan, from March 15 through April 12, 2006. Applicants must be between the ages of 25 and 40 prior to the departure date, and must work or live within the boundaries of Rotary District 6440, which includes Lake County, eastern McHenry and Kane Counties and northern Cook and DuPage counties. …
