Police Briefs; 2 Face Assault, Battery Charges

A 23-year-old woman in the 5800 block of Justina Court was arrested Aug. 29 and charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief and battery.

Witnesses told police the woman shot at her 21-year-old boyfriend with a handgun.

The victim told police he was sitting on the ground near his carport with a male friend when the suspect approached him and threw four pairs of his shoes on the ground. The shoes had been cut up, according to a police report.

Witnesses said the suspect pulled out a handgun and started "waving it around" at her boyfriend and his friend and yelled that she was going to "put them away."
