COMEDIAN Russell Brand claims he has no knowledge of the alleged rape of a woman at his party flat.
A 20-year-old student claims she was raped after being drugged at the presenter's rented flat during the Edinburgh Festival.
She told police her drink may have been spiked during the party at Brand's pad in the city's North Castle Street.
Lothian and Borders Police plan to question and even DNA test Brand over the allegations.
Big Brother's Big Mouth presenter Brand - who performed a series of sellout shows at the Festival - has denied any involvement in the alleged attack.
His managers said: "In response to certain misinformed media speculation, it becomes necessary for Russell Brand to state he has no knowledge of, let alone any involvement in, the alleged assault of an Edinburgh woman.
"Mr Brand understands that a woman who, with a number of other people, visited his rented flat during the Edinburgh Fr inge has made a complaint to the police.
"Mr Brand has no knowledge of what the complaint is about other than what has been published in the press.
"As it was Mr Brand's flat, the police have asked to speak to him on his return from holiday and Mr Brand is happy to assist the police with their inquiries.
