Washout Leaves Christie in the Dark

CHARLIE CHRISTIE admits he can't make up his mind on how best to replace midfield dynamo Ian Black - after a torrential downpour washed out his plans to assess the candidates.

Richie Hart, Russell Duncan and Liam Keogh are all hoping to win the vote to partner John Rankin at Love Street this weekend as Black begins a two-match suspension.

Christie had hoped to run the rule over the midfielders in a reserve game against Rangers on Tuesday, but the game fell victim to a waterlogged pitch in the Highlands.

And Christie now faces a tough decision as he seeks to extend his side's record SPL unbeaten run to seven games in Paisley on Saturday.

'We have four or five options to replace Ian and midfield is one area of the squad in which we are well blessed,' said Christie yesterday.

'Richard, Russell and Liam can all comfortably play in that position and they are all fully fit. We actually had all 21 first-team players on the training ground this week.

'I'll be honest and say I haven't yet decided who will play. …
