Nothing fuels an artist more than the image of family. Whether working in a print or visual medium, the concept of family can be interpreted in many different ways.
So it should come as no surprise the Northwest Cultural Council's latest exhibit, "A Family Is..." drew a wide ranging response from visual artists and poets alike.
The exhibit opened Thursday and runs through Dec. 28, with an opening reception and awards ceremony from 1-3 p.m. Nov. 19. The Northwest Cultural Council/Kimball Hill galleries are open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Admission is free.
