EAT your heart out Tobey Maguire... Alain Robert is the real Spider-Man.
When it comes to climbing the career ladder, he's gone straight to the top... of some of the world's tallest skyscrapers.
And unlike the stuntmen used in Spider-Man 3, there are no hidden wires, safety nets or harnesses. This wallcrawler makes his living with nothing but his bare hands.
Last month Frenchman Alain, 44, wowed a crowd of 100,000 spectators by scaling the 185-metre high Investment Authority Building in Abu Dhabi. Using his superpowers, he climbed 35 storeys in just 63 minutes.
His list of conquests includes New York's Empire State Building, San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, the twin Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Canary Wharf, the cylindrical Agbar Tower in Barcelona and the world's tallest skyscraper - the 1667ft Taipei 101 in Taiwan.
Many firms pay Alain to scale buildings for publicity. Sky TV used his talents to promote the Spider-Man film on British telly.
Alain's amazing career began at 12 when he was locked out of his parents' flat.
Unperturbed, he climbed seven floors and let himself in through a window. From that moment he was hooked and started skipping school to master the deadly rock faces around his native Valence in the south of France.
Remarkably, 5ft 2in Alain has overcome a crippling fear of heights to achieve his goal.
He said: "I was little but I wanted to be brave like my heroes Zorro and Robin Hood."
He has broken so many bones in his body doctors describe him as being 60 per cent disabled. …
