A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove for Guy Omogrosso, 89, of Oakland, who died of age-related causes on May 22. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at the funeral chapel.
He was born Dec. 9, 1918, in Boston, Mass., to Michael and Mary Ambrosina Omogrosso.
Omogrosso attended school in Roxbury, Mass. He served in the Army during World War II. He worked for Douglas Aircraft, for the railroad for 22 years, in commercial construction and with Hughes Aircraft as a maintenance carpenter.
He married L.M. Higgins on Sept. 8, 1944, in Inglewood, Calif.
Survivors include his wife, Boots Omogrosso of Oakland; sons Michael and Robert, both of Eugene; three sisters, Josephine Imbriano of Plymouth, Mass., Alba Omogrosso of Weymouth, Mass., and Theresa Carney-Pickwell of Braintree, Mass.; a brother, Daniel of Melrose, Mass., five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Burial will be Friday, May 23, at 1 p.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Barbara Ruth Pritchard of Springfield died May 22 of age-related causes at age 77. She was born June 15, 1930, in Long Beach, Calif., to Don and Wilma Hack Lewis.
She was a wood carver, a swimming instructor, a nurse's aide and a backstage worker at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. She was a high school graduate who also attended college.
No service is planned. Arrangements by Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield.
