Pacifica Forum discussion scheduled for Friday

The Pacifica Forum will be held Friday from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Walnut Room at the Erb Memorial Union.

The topic will be "The Mass Psychology of Anti-Facisism, Fake Hate Crimes, Censorship and the Israel Lobby," presented by Jay Knott.

Voluneeters needed to work on nature trail

The McKenzie Watershed Council and Lane County Parks need volunteers on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon to help maintain the Crilly Nature Trail at Armitage County Park.

The work involves trimming vegetation, adding wood chips and controlling ivy. Tools, gloves and refreshments will be provided.

Cambodian experience to benefit cultural projects

Friendship with Cambodia will hold a benefit and cultural experience of Cambodia on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at First Christian Church, 1166 Oak St.

The money raised will support humanitarian projects.

The evening includes a southeast Asian dinner, a visual tour of the ancient temples of Angkor Wat and life in Cambodia by photographer Don Lyon, a silent auction and crafts.

Tickets are $15, with a $50 suggested donation at the door.

Children under 12 are free and there will be a children's room.

Would-be homeowners can learn more about buying a house at an "ABCs of Home Buying" class from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at NEDCO's Homeownership Center, 783 Grant St.
