Incas Pitch in for Busy Year

THE INCAS softball club is not one to pass up the opporunity to play games it seems.

Senior teams from the Maryborough club play in two different competitions and on two different days.

Incas start the ball rolling by playing in the Hervey Bay Softball Association women's and under 16 competitions at the Geoff Godfrey Softball Complex in Torquay every Friday night.

It's the first season they've done it and the women's team went close to registering its second win of the season in the round three showdown against Terrors I.

Both teams gave it their all but nothing could separate them after 75 minutes of non-stop action on the diamond and the game finished in a seven-all draw.

In the other games of the round, Sonia Perrot led her team (Rockets) to a 29-2 won against Goolahs while the Angels enjoyed their first victory of the season with a 8-5 win against Terrors II.

In the Hervey Bay men's games, Troy James hit a home run and Guy Golding gloved two catches but couldn't prevent Demons from losing 5-1 against Terrors.

Jake Maahs and DJ Andrews starred for Terrors with some big hits in the last innings. …
