Careers Advisers Are First Rate, Inspectors Agree; Company's Staff Awarded Highest Possible Grades across the Board

CAREERS advisers are celebrating unprecedented results in a Estyn inspection report.

Staff at Careers Wales Mid Glamorgan and Powys achieved Grade 1 status across the board.

The company, which provides free bilingual careers information for all ages, was awarded the highest possible grades by inspectors.

A clean sweep of seven Grade 1s is rarely achieved in any part of the education sector.

Chief executive Ann Evans was delighted with the report's findings.

She said: "Our staff work incredibly hard to achieve outcomes for clients, and we are pleased that the inspection recognised the high standard of service we deliver.

"We have worked as a whole company team with fantastic results, demonstrating and living our core value of putting our clients first.

"In many interviews, Careers Wales Mid Glamorgan and Powys clients make good or outstanding progress. As a result of interviews with careers advisers, the level of their improvement in career planning is well above the Wales average and is currently the best in Wales."

Inspectors noted the company's performance in "an extremely demanding year", and praised management for its response to increased redundancies. …
