Benjamin Allen Johnson, a pediatric allergist who served on Jacksonville's Environmental Protection Board, died at his Jacksonville home Wednesday of cancer. He was 87.
At his request, there will be no funeral.
Dr. Johnson, a Jacksonville native, graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1941. He attended the University of Florida until serving in the Army in World War II. After the war, he did his pre-med studies at Harvard University, then graduated from Yale University with his M.D. degree in 1949.
