Since winning the award for best livestock producer in Asia during the Asian Livestock Industry Awards in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, local company Bounty Fresh remains committed to be not only the best in Asia but perhaps the whole world, and is taking it one step at a time.
During the awards held October of last year which gathered the best and the biggest livestock, egg, meat and feed producers in Asia, Bounty Fresh brought honor to the country by becoming the first Philippine livestock producer ever to win the prestigious award. In the process, the Philippines bested other countries like India, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia who also vied for the award and who have made a name as among the best poultry and livestock producers in the region.
"The award given to Bounty Fresh and the Philippines showed that we are now a force to reckon with in terms of livestock production in the region. We aspired to be the best, we competed against the best, and we came out the winner to become the best of the best. We hope that other local producers follow suit; we know that it is hard to reach this stage but if we can do it, so can the other producers," comments Ronald Mascarinas, President of Bounty Agro Ventures, Inc.
The Asian Livestock Industry Award was established to propagate the advancement of programs and technologies that aim to improve and enhance the industry of livestock production in the Asian region. Attracting various companies, it has become the most prestigious awards-giving body in Asia where it judged nominees based on four categories such as Industry Leadership, Use of Technology in Operation, Health and Safety, and Marketing and Promotions.
