CARDIFF provider of utility infrastructure and energy management, UPL, has launched its services in Italy.
The company, which employs 137 people, has grown rapidly into a leading utility infrastructure and energy consultancy business.
Over the next three years it is recruiting a further 66 staff.
Its engineering division provides an extensive utilities infrastructure design and management service for residential developments and industrial/ commercial sites.
Work can range from initial feasibility studies right through to procurement, land easements, installation and project management.
It also offers a range of services in energy management including the installation of smart meters, data collection and management that delivers real cost savings and reduces the carbon footprint of companies.
The launch of UPL Italy comes after success experienced with multinational clients now keen to extend these benefits to other national operations.
Clients include blue-chip companies such as Vodafone, Telefonica O, Tesco, Aldi and Wal-Mart.
UPL also aims to offer Italian businesses its experience in managing multi-site energy portfolios, an issue keenly felt in the complex landscape of the Italian energy market.
