AN organisation formed by Tyneside charity NCVS is offering financial assistance to small businesses and voluntary organisations in the region by taking time-consuming accounting and payroll work off their hands.

Newcastle Council for Voluntary Service launched Ellison Services back in 1993 as a trading arm offering a financial services function to charities and community groups.

It has grown its customer base over the years to also include SMEs and now has more than 100 clients, benefiting from cost-effective services including bookkeeping, payroll, invoicing and preparation of management reports.
