BUDDING models from Walker Technology College in Newcastle took part in a fashion show with a difference at The People's Theatre in Heaton.
A captivated audience of 400 classmates, family and friends enjoyed an evening of style, song and dance in aid of North East Children's Cancer Research.
The evening was based on the theme of Around the World and saw the school, in Middle Street, Walker, teaming up with the Newcastle Education Business Partnership (EBP) and a wide range of big name fashion stores.
Each store provided clothing for the evening ranging from beachwear, day wear and club gear, ending with a red carpet finale depicting Bollywood to Hollywood.
Talented "model" student Naima Afruz, 16, helped to choreograph and performed in the Bollywood dance production.
She said: "Planning, organising and fitting in rehearsals around my studies has been a challenge, but I have gained so much and got such a buzz from the evening that I would recommend any student to get involved in similar events."
The 12 girls and three boys worked tirelessly for months with choreographer Mak Walters to make sure each set was delivered professionally. …
