MANILA, Philippines - "Split Queen" Mystica claims she can heal people but opts to do so only with family and friends.
"[Kapag] kinakailangan lang. Just for an emergency. At kinakailangan lang para sa mga malalapit sa 'kin. Pero kung hindi ko sila kaano-ano, hindi ko sila kilala, I'm sorry," Mystica told "Paparazzi" host Cristy Fermin in an exclusive interview aired April 17.
News that Mystica has become a faith healer first broke out on "Showbiz News Ngayon" in February. She said then that the Lord granted her prayer to be able to heal her ex-husband, Romy Manlapaz, who has colon cancer.
"- nakita niya may Mystica Charity Foundation ako. Kung ikaw naman ay colon cancer ang sakit mo, sabi ko, kahit magkano 'yung pera mo minsan hindi rin sapat 'yun para mapagaling ang isang tao.
"Siguro ang pinaka-tanging hiling ko Sa'yo is to give me the power to heal you [Manlapaz]. Ibinigay sa 'kin, pinagkaloob," the singer said.
Mystika said she experienced pain in her right hand upon touching Manlapaz, as if it had a fracture. This, she said, she took as a sign to continue healing people.
"Para malaman ko na totoo[ng] na-heal, dinala ko ulit [si Manlapaz] sa pangatlong doctor. Ayon, we found out na wala na," she said.
Word about Mystica's supposed newfound ability flew fast on the Internet.
