Now the Duchess of York is stepping up her very public soul-searching another notch - by being hypnotised for an American reality show.
In it Sarah Ferguson, who has been beset by money worries and scandal, lies on a chaise longue with her head resting on a satin pillow and bares her soul to a therapist.
The Duke of York's former wife, apparently hypnotised, reveals how she regrets divorcing him and wishes she could 'be the bride again'.
The series, Finding Sarah, was filmed by chat-show host Oprah's cable network.
It will air in the U.S next month and chronicle the Duchess's path from losing weight to the 'errors' she made, as she travels across America addressing her personal issues.
During the hypnosis session, the 51-year-old Duchess says of Prince Andrew: 'I wish we'd never got divorced. He and I both wish we'd never got divorced, but we did.
'I wish I could go back and be the bride again, but I can't. He's my best friend and the father of my children. He's a great ex.' The show is the latest in a string of attempts by the Duchess to repay her [pounds sterling]4million debts. …
