THE chairman of Edinburgh Zoo stepped down yesterday following the no confidence vote against him.
Donald Emslie was urged to quit by almost 500 members of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) after the vote at an extraordinary general meeting last week in the city.
His departure follows months of turmoil at the zoo, which secured the multi-million-pound transfer of two pandas in January.
