PNP, LTO Hold Dumaguete Seminar

DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental, Philippines (PNA) - Law enforcement agencies and offices implementing traffic laws, rules and regulations will attend here a three-day seminar jointly held by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) starting Friday. Some 88 participants, including civilian traffic enforcers from the local government units and two police personnel from each of the 25 police stations in the province are expected in the seminar which will discuss, among other topics, their deputation by the LTO and the presence of "colorum" or illegally-operating vehicles for hire.Bohol SWAT team gets equipmentTAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol (PNA) - Governor Edgar Chatto recently turned over additional equipment to the Special Weapons and Tactic (SWAT) team of the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) to boot the latter's capability. Turned over were 11 caliber 5.56 M4, three bullet-proof vests, four bullet-proof helmets, two bullet-proof shields, a tactical ladder, a battering ram, and a black hawk dynamic entry backpack. A vehicle was also assigned to the BPPO to improve its personnel's mobility.
