WALSALL boss Dean Smith is adamant Ryan Jarvis will more than prove his doubters wrong after he opened his Saddlers account with a double against Bournemouth.
The 25-year-old made just 14 appearances for Leyton Orient last season before being ditched by Russell Slade in the summer - however Smith had no hesitation in swooping for him.
Jarvis started Walsall's Carling Cup defeat to Middlesbrough but in League One so far this season has been nothing more than a bench player.
However, an ankle knock to Jon Macken presented Slade with an opportunity for his first League One start - and Smith thrust him straight in for the trip to the Cherries.
