HALF a year ago, a man named David Koch flew into Maroochydore to speak at the Sunshine Coast Business Expo and spend an afternoon mentoring two winners of a makeover competition run by Better Business.

The TV star and business analyst joined a panel of bright business minds in Youi Insurance chief Howard Aron, former Maroochy chamber president Myles McNamara and expert consultant Rod Richards in delivering advice and tips on how to change, grow and prosper.

The winning businesses were Amici Cafe in Caloundra and Coastal Business Insurance in Maroochydore.
