MERSEYSIDE accountancy firm Mitchell Charlesworth will today unveil a merger with the corporate finance business owned by Liverpool Chamber of Commerce board member Brian McCann.
The merger will result in a new company that will trade as MC Vanguard Corporate Finance. Vanguard's four-strong team will work across all five offices of the 125-year-old Mitchell Charlesworth. Mr McCann will join Mitchell Charlesworth as a partner, together with corporate finance managers Robin Gower and Jean Hughes and assistant Duncan McCann.
Mitchell Charlesworth's Clive Plummer, said the merger reflected the firm's ambition to offer a wider range of services to the region's small and medium sized firms.
He said: "This is a hugely exciting new venture which will thrust Mitchell Charlesworth further into the corporate finance market.
