A YOUNG Irish artist with severe autism has received a major honour after being selected by the United Nations to have one of his paintings used in a new postage stamp collection.
Talented Colm Isherwood, from Cork, is one of only eight artists worldwide chosen to have their work printed in recognition of World Autism Day, which takes place on April 2. The 25-year-old cannot speak, read or write -- and has only discovered a love of art in the past two years. That did not stop him from holding his first solo exhibition in Cork in 2010, however.
