Obama should read up on Gandhi
These words came from Mahatma Gandhi: "Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act depriving a whole nation of arms, as the blackest."
Gandhi saw firsthand the horror defenseless unarmed people invariably suffer.
Perhaps the Obama administration ought to take Gandhis suggestion at face value, or at least come clean on. their Fast & Furious shenanigans (and exactly why was "executive privilege" invoked by Obama on this issue again? You know, from the "most transparent administration ever" and all that jazz?) that are a not-so-veiled attempt at discrediting Second Amendment supporters.
Some questions for retired teachers
Retired teachers, even those who believe Illinois needs to get its budget in order, all say, "Dont touch my pension,"
In fact, dont touch anybodys pension it might affect me. Most wont even consider giving up their 3 percent annual COLA. And so I ask all retired teachers, professors and other on public pension recipients:
* Is your pension so important that you are willing to sacrifice your childrens and grandchildrens future?
* Is it so important that you are willing to tax businesses out of business?
* Is your pension so important that you are willing to cut the pay of those currently doing the job you used to do?
* Is it so important that you are willing to let the poor, disabled and the elderly suffer?
I know you all say your pensions were promised, but the taxpayer never agreed to fund it and in order for Illinois to fund these, the government must take the money from your neighbors. …
