A Duval County School Board workshop scheduled for tomorrow to address a pay raise and bonus for Superintendent John Fryer has been "postponed indefinitely," board Chairwoman Linda Sparks said yesterday.
In a letter sent to the board Friday, Sparks said she agreed with board members Stan Jordan and Susan Wilkinson, who each submitted memos requesting that the workshop be postponed because of other issues before the board.
One issue is the continuing collective bargaining with Duval Teachers United. Negotiations have been ongoing since July 1.
The idea of a raise and bonus was prompted by an agenda item brought forth by Sparks at last week's board meeting. …
