A Virginia wireless phone company has accused Cellular One of using false advertising to entice digital phone customers in the highly competitive Washington-Baltimore market.
Simply Wireless Inc. of Tysons Corner filed suit Thursday in Montgomery County Circuit Court, charging that Greenbelt-based Cellular One falsely stated it would immediately launch an advanced fully digital wireless system in the region.
Simply Wireless asserts that it lost many customers who switched over to Cellular One believing they would get fully digital service, which has more features and better security than analog technology.
