Art Exhibit Features Work of 20 Students

Article excerpt

Each year, Palatine High School participates in The Great Frame Up's "The Creative Self" Expression Show. This is a complete art exhibition featuring the best works by talented student artists in our community.

Palatine High School supports the Great Frame Up's belief that the most valuable gift given to students is the encouragement to express themselves.

The opening reception for the artists of Palatine High was March 16. The evening reception consisted of recognizing 20 student artists. From these 20 chosen to represent the school's art department, five artists were awarded "Best of Show." They are as follows: Peter Hartman, Lindsay Schubel, Elizabeth Dynak, Corinne Digiovanni and Jaclynn Fronczak. The artwork consisted of drawings, paintings, photographs, digital images and ceramics. Palatine High School's permanent collection for 2000 will be selected from the artwork chosen for the Great Frame Up exhibition. The Great Frame Up is located at 1300 Rand Road in Arlington Heights.
