The accomplishments of Fox Valley's best and brightest students include:

The Augustana Inspiration Gospel Choir presented its fall concert, "Melodies from Heaven," at 7 p.m. Oct. 28 in Augustana's Wallenberg Hall, inside Denkmann Memorial Hall, 3520 7th Ave., Rock Island.

The gospel choir, directed by Tamara Burke, is open to all students who enjoy singing and sharing gospel music.

Holly A. Dorrington, a sophomore majoring in general studies is a choir member. She is the daughter of Susie Dorrington, Fox River Grove.

The choir recently participated in the college's annual Homecoming Talent Show and will attend a Gospel Extravaganza in Kansas City, Kansas in February 2001.

Nathaniel Meigs of Algonquin graduated from Drake University after the 2000 summer session. Meigs received a bachelor of arts degree in English.
