Long Grove's Royal Melbourne community could be viewed as one of the best housing values in the Northwest suburbs.
This is certainly not because of the prices of homes within the neighborhood, which range from $850,000 to more than $2 million. Rather, it's because of the breathtaking amenities available in these high-end executive-style residences.
"It would be hard to find homes like these anywhere else," says Lori Rowe, an agent with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate in Buffalo Grove.
Rowe says the homes were constructed by top-of-the-line builders from throughout the Chicago area. Houses are more than 3,500 square feet and several are in the range of 8,000 to 10,000 square feet. Many are of traditional design with full finished basements and open floor plans.

"We also have wetlands at one side of our property," Hussey says. …
