TEMPE, Ariz. - Look for Kevin Orie to get a lot of at-bats this spring. The second-year third baseman is working with hitting coach Jeff Pentland on "loading up" his lower body.
Even though Orie is 10-for-24 (.417) after Friday's 19-8 loss to the Anaheim Angels, he says his swing is a work in progress as he tries to get his lower body through the ball to generate some more power.
"I've still got a ways to go," Orie said. "I don't feel too great right now, I'm trying to work on some things. Hopefully as the spring goes on, I'll get more comfortable with it. Game situations are tough, totally different than …
