C. Paul Carlstedt

Services for C. Paul Carlstedt, 68, of Mount Prospect, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Grace Lutheran Church, Euclid Avenue and Wolf Road, Mount Prospect.

He was born May 3, 1928, in Chicago.

He died Friday, May 3, at Northwest Community Hospital.

Mr. Carlstedt was a retired accountant. He was an Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Northwestern University. He was a member of the Mount Prospect Historical Society, the Mount Prospect-Prospect Heights United Way Board, the Advisory Committee of the Mount Prospect Post Office, and the Mount Prospect Police Retirement Board. He was also responsible for the restoration of the Mount Prospect Police Department "Blues Mobile."

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn (nee Oscarson); his sons, Alan and David (Sue); his grandchildren, Eric and Luke; and his mother, Astrid.

He was preceded in death by his father, Anders.

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 6, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, Inc., 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mount Prospect, and from noon until the time of services at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Grace Lutheran Church or the Mount Prospect Historical Society would be appreciated.

Virginia Dunn

Services for Virginia Dunn (nee Brown), 72, of Des Plaines, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway ), Mount Prospect.

She was born Jan. 1, 1924, in Chicago.

She died Friday, May 3, in Des Plaines.

Mrs. Dunn was a former employee of E.R. Moore Co., Niles. She was an avid bowler.

Survivors include her sons, Jeffrey (JoAnna) Dunn, and Robert (Marybeth) Dunn; her daughters, Marjorie (Gerald) Addante, and Eileen (Frank) Berauer; and her grandchildren, Laurie Ann Addante, Matthew, Peter, and Paul Berauer, and Mollie and Connor Dunn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Dunn, and her brother, Douglas Brown.

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at the funeral home.

Alicia A. Franklin

Services for Alicia A. Franklin (nee Cruikshank), 34, of Lake in the Hills, formerly of Des Plaines, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, at St. Mary Church, Des Plaines.

She was born April 4, 1962, in Chicago.

Entombment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.

She died Saturday, May 4, in Park Ridge.

Mrs. Franklin was a homemaker. She was a volunteer at Central School, Des Plaines, Central Girl Scouts, and Misericordia. She graduated from Maine West High School in 1980.

Survivors include her husband, Michael; her son, Patrick; her daughter, Jennifer; her brother, Kenneth (Judy) Cruikshank, of Elk Grove Village; her sisters, Kathleen (Jon) Hogaboom, of Palatine, and Carolynn (Robert) Baumhart, of Des Plaines; her parents, Harry and Kathryn Cruikshank; and her father-in-law, Leonard Franklin.

Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Des Plaines.

Dorothy I. Garapolo

Prayers for Dorothy I. Garapolo (nee Malkowski), 64, of Island Lake, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda, followed by Mass at 10 a.m. at Transfiguration Church, 310 W. Mill St., Wauconda.

She was born March 12, 1932, in Chicago.

Burial will be in Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery, Cary.

She died Saturday, May 4, at her home.

Mrs. Garapolo was a member of Transfiguration Church, Wauconda, and the Women's Auxiliary of American Legion Post 911, Wauconda. …
