Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54 gets a lot of resumes from employees of smaller districts who are eager to ascend the career ladder.
That's why M. Mohsin Dada's application leapt to the top of the pile when the state's largest elementary district began looking for a new assistant superintendent for business services in February.
Dada, 43, is no neophyte.
Now the business manager for Naperville Unit District 203, Dada has 17 years of experience at large school districts.
That's one reason District 54's school board hired Dada last week.
Dada replaces Matt Corby, who left District 54 in February to become an associate superintendent at Rockford Unit District 205.
"To have a candidate that came to us from a larger district was actually refreshing and unusual," said District 54 Associate Superintendent Ken Cull.
Dada will take a pay cut from $90,690 to $83,000 to move from the larger Naperville unit district to Schaumburg. He was attracted to District 54's "positive work environment," he said. …
