Fraud, corruption and IT crime are being targeted by a new Birmingham-based corporate security company headed by two former detectives.
Espin Forrest brings together former Rover Group general manager of security Nigel Espin and the former joint head of West Midlands Police's Major Fraud Unit, Steve Forrest in a company offering consultancy, training and investigation.
The new business, based in Digbeth, offers companies and organisations nearly 50 years' combined experience in crime investigation, anti-fraud and corruption work and corporate and IT security.
The company will focus on six key areas: fraud investigation, fraud prevention, anti-corruption, information security, computer crime and corporate security.
Mr Espin said businesses were now beginning to take risk assessment seriously and were realising how vulnerable they were.
Increasing pressure on police resources often means that businesses have nowhere to turn.
'Fraud can cost businesses huge amounts of money - and often they don't realise it's going on until it's too late,' he said. …
