OUTSTANDING achievement in training and people development will be recognised at a special awards ceremony on St David's Day.

The Elwa People in Business Awards will celebrate the achievements and successes of Welsh companies over the past year, highlighting innovation and commitment in tackling the training challenge.

The event, to be held in the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport, is expected to attract more than 500 people and will be chaired by Nicola Heywood-Thomas.

There will be six awards including investor of the year, which has three categories relating to the size of the organisation, learner of the year, people manager of the year and investor in the community.
