ROY Jones is only the world's best fighter because his opponents surrender before the first bell according to Clinton Woods, who is set to challenge the American legend in Sheffield on July 13.

Jones is expected to agree final terms and sign a contract this week to defend his four world light-heavyweight titles against Sheffield's Woods.

Manager Dennis Hobson said: "It has to be done quickly because we are running out of time."

Jones has been promised a real fight, and Woods says: "I've watched a load of so-called good fighters just freeze when they get in the ring with him."
