Gender Issues at Forefront of Event

Jacqueline Woods, executive director of the American Association of University Women, will be the keynote speaker at a gender conference at the College of Lake County on April 11.

Sponsored by the college's Women's Center, the conference is titled "Voices, Visions and Visionaries: Conversations on Gender at the Community College."

The first such event held at the college, the event is from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The conference will serve as a forum for community college members, especially students, to come together to share their experiences on gender issues that affect their lives in and outside the …
