WITH ante-post favourites Zaahid and Lang Shining looking unlikely to make the final line-up for Saturday's William Hill Lincoln, it could pay to consider one of the other market leaders in the mile handicap at Doncaster.
Ireland had a decent time of things at last week's Cheltenham Festival, landing seven of the 25 races, but it is 24 years since they last had a Lincoln winner, a trend that County Meath trainer Ger Lyons is hoping to put right at the weekend.
Lyons, who gained notable successes at Royal Ascot and on Derby Day at Epsom during the last Flat season, runs Little White Lie, who is as short as 14-1 with the sponsors.
Former champion jockey Ryan Moore has been booked for the ride and Lyons, who won last year's Queen Mary at Royal Ascot with Elletelle and the Surrey Stakes at Epsom with Howya Now Kid, is hopeful of a big run.
