CAMP HILL, Pa. -- As Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton shut down her presidential campaign Saturday, her Pennsylvania delegates gracefully played their part in the Democratic unity pageant and vowed to work hard for her former opponent, Sen. Barack Obama, in the general-election campaign.
"At the end of the day, I'm a Democrat," Clinton delegate Gail McDermott of Mechanicsburg said as the Democratic State Committee fleshed out the state's delegation to the national nominating convention in August. "The most important thing is that we end George Bush's policies and the Iraq war."
